Baja Xpeditions is a marketing brand operated under Xplore Baja (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard personal information gathered across bajaxpeditions.com and the “My Trip” customer portal.
2. Information We Collect
To organize off-road UTV expeditions across the Baja peninsula with appropriate safety measures, we collect the following guest data:
- Contact & Emergency Data: Full name, mobile phone, email address, emergency contacts, and Baja partner details.
- Confidential Medical Information: Allergies (including bee sting and dietary), cardiac conditions, current medications, and emergency personnel directives.
- Vehicle & Passport Documentation: Passport copies for border crossing verification and UTV registration/insurance for Bring Your Own UTV guests.
3. Data Security & Medical Retention
All sensitive health data collected through the Pre-Trip Questionnaire is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/SSL) and at rest. Access is strictly limited via role-based access control to expedition leaders and chase truck medical personnel.
Medical Retention Rule: Medical binder records are printed securely for trail emergency personnel and purged or securely archived within 90 days following trip completion.
